Description

* It's a kind of training too, because I have serious problems with the color white*

They are friends, he's a dragon but he doesn't eat all kinds of birds, he loves these types of animal. He prefers to eat cows and sheeps XD

His name is Altair, the name was inspired from the game "bomberman 64" in which the character "Altair" was the villain of the game.
He's a dragon, he isn't good nor bad, depends of his diet or mood..

He loves the nature, and his element is thunder.

I think it's all..

Photoshop + wacom bamboo + many hours..

No special brushs and particular textures were used here, I painted it all..

Again..sorry for my english..I'm still studying it.

I am going to begin with that is a nice little story you made fore these two characters, and the dragons name is Atair like the star in the constellation Aquila the eagle, but what is the owls' name?
With that question out of the way Good aspects:
This image on first appearances to me feels like it was an art done in traditional media like paint, rather than all digital, even if it was all digital, I feel their is something to be said in that. This dragon has a nice set of scales unique but uniform as the go up along the length of the body. The white colors think you did a good job on, as well as you made highlights of sun, even the color fits. The owl to as well has has this same uniform look. and seems to be just landing on the dragon's nose, and its feathers are well drawn for the owl as well. The landscape is very surreal and as mystic as the creatures that are in this pic. The first part of the landscape that caught my attention was the lily looking flower next to the tree, next was the flagstones and the way the bear a similar color to the dragons body. The trees seem to me are in a state of transition, either from a change of seasons or the leaves are naturally those colors of red on the right, and green on the left; I like because it adds to the mystery of this place. The sunset is also well as it does not seem over contrasted as if it were a done in an over contrasted gradient map, it just holds the gentile rose tones all the way off the image, as the clouds blend with the trees; same for the mountains the are very flat looking because of their distance, that is good to me.
Negative aspects:
The first thing that I notice is the shading, on the dragon mostly, in my mind I think they should be darker, because the light source is one point not a global one, and the little stream I do not thin would produce a high reflection; I also think at the distance of the sun the shadows should be longer as well. Also the scales of the dragon around the neck area do not seem as distinct and blend into the chest plate area.
The water to me seems like it is slightly on top of the grass and transparent than thicker to the relative setting of water, I mean, it looks like this is a brand new pool and and the grass in it is not dead yet, that is good, I am just a bit questioning on it. The stones also have a slight tint of green like moss, again not sure of is or not there. The owls wings also make me think of a falcons as the tips of the primary seem a bit long to me..

All in all though I think the piece is quite exceptional, and you did great work on it. Image was judged as if it were based on a real to life landscape nature photo take.
